Community Impact Partnership

Up the Impact!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

3 Rivers Outdoor Company prides itself on being Pittsburgh’s Hub for the Outdoor Community, and recognizes the power of collaboration to influence positive change in the Pittsburgh region. The shop partners with local breweries and environmental or recreation-based nonprofit organizations on a semiannual basis to host mission-specific and fundraising events, raising funds for nonprofit partners through beers poured for donation at the in store tap at 3ROC.

Whether you are attending a Community Campfire on a Friday night, a Knot Tying workshop, a film festival, or just want to enjoy a tasty, locally brewed beer while you shop; you are supporting the important work of local nonprofits with every sip!

OUR CURRENT PARTNERS

Allow us to Introduce…our Community Impact Partners for September 2026 through February 2027!

3ROC is excited to partner with Allegheny Land Trust and Jackworth Ginger Beer as our second set of Community Impact Partners in 2026. The partnership will officially kick off on Friday, September 18th, at our 8th Annual 5Point Film Festival. Jackworth's Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer, along with a rotating seasonal selection of non-alcoholic canned ginger beer will be available at the event, and throughout the partnership (starting September 1st) for a $5 suggested donation benefiting Allegheny Land Trust's mission. The partners will also collaborate on a series of monthly events showcasing the nonprofit's mission.

ABOUT ALLEGHENY LAND TRUST

Allegheny Land Trust has been helping local people save local land across the Pittsburgh region since 1993. Today, ALT protects more than 4,100 acres of green space — from larger natural areas and trail systems to neighborhood green spaces and community conservation projects woven into the places where people live, work, and play.

With our upcoming office relocation to Herr’s Island, we’re especially excited to deepen our connection to Pittsburgh’s urban communities and to the people who may not always think of themselves as “conservationists,” but who care deeply about access to nature, healthy neighborhoods, clean water, trails, trees, and places to gather outside.

ALT’s work spans land protection, stewardship, community conservation, and environmental education, all with one goal in mind: helping people protect and care for the places that make this region feel like home.

This partnership with 3ROC and Jackworth is a natural fit for us:  a chance to meet new people, get outside together, and have some fun while connecting more people to the green spaces right in our own backyard.

ABOUT JACKWORTH GINGER BEER

Jackworth Ginger Beer is Pennsylvania’s only craft ginger beer brewery. Founded by Point Breeze native Jackworth Smith and located in the Larimer neighborhood of Pittsburgh’s East End– only 10 minutes from 3 Rivers Outdoor– we specialize in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ginger beer. All of our ginger beer is crafted using fresh, simple ingredients– including organic ginger, cane sugar, and fresh citrus. Our products are naturally gluten-free  and contain half the sugar of most brands. As the winner of Best N/A Beers from the readers of PGH City Paper in 2025 our non-alcoholic ginger beer is delicious on its own or as a premium mixer in your favorite cocktail. Our beautiful bar was named one of the top places to visit in National Geographic's 2025 feature on Pittsburgh. Since our bar & brewery sits at the intersection of five East End neighborhoods, inclusivity and connection with our neighbors are at the heart of all we do. We aim to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can connect, relax, and enjoy well-crafted beverages together. Here in Pittsburgh, we live in a fertile river valley surrounded by magnificent parks and rivers. Jackworth Ginger Beer is committed to supporting Pittsburgh's great-outdoors and the folks who enjoy it.
